AIB partnered with Coillte Nature and Forestry Partners to plant 90,000 native Irish trees over a three year period on behalf of new AIB second-level student account holders. 

Background

Marketing Network Group were commissioned by Ogilvy Ireland to develop a series of 3D animations to promote this new partnership with Coillte.

Strategy

Five iconic Irish landmarks were meticulously crafted in 3D, enabling us to change the surrounding landscape and manipulate the weather. Our goal is to demonstrate the consequences of neglecting global warming and to drive action towards a more sustainable future.

Results

The project was well-received by both customers and stakeholders, and helped to increase awareness of AIB’s sustainability initiatives. The animations were shared widely on social media and placed on display on large LED screens in the bank’s 170 branches and head office. The campaign generated positive buzz among environmentally-conscious consumers.
